Homesteading Options
Hands-on homesteading includes Animal Care, Organic Gardening, Beekeeping, and Traditional Crafts, Baking, Canning, connecting classroom learning to local heritage and nature.

Through hands-on homesteading experiences, project-based learning, and meaningful exploration, students are given opportunities to observe, create, problem-solve, and strengthen their critical thinking skills. God’s creation serves as a beautiful classroom, inspiring curiosity and helping children connect what they learn to the world around them.
Our Approach
At Fields of Faith, we believe education should be a journey of discovery rooted in the heritage of the homestead. Our project-based curriculum invites children to engage directly with Christ’s creation—from beekeeping and organic gardening to livestock management. This outdoor-first philosophy fosters resilience, critical thinking, and a lifelong reverence for faith and nature, moving beyond the desk to the soil where real-world learning begins.

About
Lyndsay Ohmie
Lyndsay Ohmie earned her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Wichita State University and a Bachelor of Science in Human Ecology (Hotel and Restaurant Management specifically) from Kansas State University with a minor in business. With more than 15 years of experience teaching students in grades K-5, she is passionate about building relationships with her students to inspire and help them learn and grow to their highest potential.
Before becoming a teacher, Lyndsay lived and worked in New York with her Hotel and Restaurant Management degree as a clubhouse manager of a country club and a foodservice director for a law firm in New York City. Working in this industry helped her learn to serve others with all sorts of temperaments and find solutions to tricky challenges in a timely manner. It also helped her grow in her skills of multitasking, endurance for working long hours and leading groups of people to complete operations.
In addition to her work in education and hospitality, Lyndsay has volunteered and worked in a variety of different ministries in the churches she has attended in her adulthood. She has served on worship teams, a high school ministry, hospitality, life groups, and the kids ministry at her current church. She loves serving others and showing them God’s love through her actions and her ultimate goal is to further God’s kingdom.
Outside the classroom, Lyndsay enjoys playing pickleball, archery, landscaping, hiking, playing with her dogs, watching movies, cheering her boys on in their sports, and spending time with her family. She loves finding new ways to better herself through Bible study plans and finding ways to love and serve others. One of her goals that she also teaches her sons and students is to do and say things that make others around them better.
As a cofounder and teacher at Fields of Faith Schoolhouse, Lyndsay can’t wait to see the amazing things that God will do. She’s so excited to get to know the students and their families and celebrate every success the students have.

About
Nate Ohmie
Nate Ohmie earned his Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and TESOL from Wichita State University and his Associates Degree in General Studies from Butler Community College. With more than nine years of experience teaching students in grades K–5, he is passionate about creating a Christ-centered learning environment where children are encouraged to grow academically, spiritually, and personally.
Before becoming an educator, Nate proudly served in the United States Navy as a Parachute Rigger and Aircrew Survival Equipmentman. His military service helped shape his commitment to leadership, integrity, and serving others.
In addition to his work in education, Nate has an extensive background in the performing arts. Today, he continues to use those talents with the purpose of glorifying God and advancing His Kingdom. Whether through teaching, ministry, or the arts, his desire is to point others toward Christ.
Outside the classroom, Nate enjoys rock climbing, camping, disc golf, horseback riding and beekeeping with his family. He has a deep appreciation for God’s creation and believes some of the most meaningful learning experiences happen through exploration, hands-on discovery, and time spent in nature.
As a co-founder and teacher at Fields Of Faith Schoolhouse, Nate is excited to partner with families in cultivating strong faith, a love for learning, and a biblical worldview that prepares students to serve God and others with confidence and purpose.
Fields Of Faith Admissions
We are honored that you are considering Fields Of Faith Schoolhouse for your family. If you believe our school is the right fit, we invite you to begin the admissions process by following the steps below.
Family Interview
STEP 02
Once we receive your pre-registration, we will contact you to schedule an in-person interview with your family. This gives us an opportunity to get to know one another, answer your questions, and share more about the heart and mission of Fields Of Faith Schoolhouse.
Submit the Admission Application
STEP 03
Complete the Admission Application and submit the $100 non-refundable application fee.
Required Documents:
● Completed Application/Enrollment Forms
● Copy of Birth Certificate
● Current Immunization Record showing required immunizations
● Physical Examination Form (completed within 30 days of the enrollment/start date)
● Previous School Records (if applicable)
STEP 04
Our admissions team will carefully review your application, supporting documents, and interview notes. We will notify you of our admissions decision within one week of receiving your completed application.

5. Enrollment & Tuition
If your child is accepted, we will send you our Family Handbook to review and sign. At that time, you will also receive enrollment information and tuition payment details.

Tuition Details
At Fields Of Faith Schoolhouse, we recognize that choosing a private Christian education is a meaningful investment in your child’s future. We are committed to keeping tuition as affordable as possible while providing a high-quality, Christ-centered education rooted in academic excellence, hands-on learning, and spiritual growth.
Your tuition helps create a nurturing environment where students experience personalized instruction, meaningful relationships, and real-world learning through homesteading, nature, and service. To ensure the long-term sustainability of our school and mission, we kindly ask that all tuition and fee obligations be met according to the agreed-upon schedule.
Application & Admission Fee
● $100 per child (non-refundable)
● This fee is required before a student’s enrollment can be finalized.
Annual Tuition
● $6,000 per student, per school year
● $400 Curriculum & Activity Fee (non-refundable, due upon acceptance
